The Small Print

Likie Bikie Ltd. - Terms and conditions. 

 

David Keniston is the  owner and trader of Likie Bikie Ltd. He carries comprehensive public liability insurance suitable for the activities offered. He is a member of British Cycling and an official Mountain Bike Leader Level 2. He also holds ITC Advanced Outdoor First Aid Qualification.

Your booking is made on the basis that you accept that mountain biking and other cycling activities involve an element of risk, and that you accept that risk on that basis that, although is cannot be eliminated completely, it will be manage by Likie Bikie Ltd in line with current best practice. Risk assessments can be provided when requested

 

Cancellation and amendment

 

Scheduled rides and online bookings  

Booking may be cancelled 24 hours before the activity is due to depart. Please email us.

Booking may be changed to another scheduled activity  up to 24 hours before the tour is due to depart.

No refund or alteration will be made to your booking after 24 hours before the activity is due to start. 

Bad Weather  - Rides will depart if it is raining. 

 

Alterations

Likie Bikie Ltd reserve the right to alter the ride schedule or route due to closures, special events and/or unique
circumstances beyond our control.

 

Payment Terms 

Payments will be applied at the time of booking. 

Full payment is due prior to activity commencement. 

Failure to pay as per the payment terms will result in cancellation of the service and/or legal action to recover any monies outstanding and costs of recovery.

 

Refunds

Refunds will be made by the payment method/card that was originally used to pay for the ticket/bicycle ride.

Customers booking through a third party agent must seek any refunds through the booking agent that booked the ride on their behalf.

Rider Behaviour

Naturally we want all our guests to have a wonderful time while out on the ride. Please ride safely and responsibly, as any damage caused by negligence or unsafe riding will be charged to the rider. 

Minimum Numbers

For all activities, a minimum of 2 paying customers are required for a ride to go ahead.

Bookings may be made for single persons 

In the event a single paid customer is denied a ride due to lack of patronage, that person will be transferred to another satisfactory activity or if this is not possible, refunded.

 

Cycling Ability

Health:  The clients and the participants are aware that cycling is inherently dangerous, and Likie Bikie Ltd cannot be held responsible for any accidents or mishaps. 

 

Medical conditions: Cycling is considered to be the best form of aerobic exercise, but this may exasperate a medical condition. In the event of uncertainty, the participant should seek medical advice before riding a bicycle. 

 

Ability: Participants have to be able to ride a bicycle reasonably confidently. If a participant is unable to ride a bicycle safely the ride leader may ask the person to stop riding.  No refund will be given.

 

Age Restrictions

 

  1. Scheduled rides are not suitable for children under 16.

  2. Adults must not attempt to bring a child under 16 years of age on an activity. 

  3. Children under the age of 18 must be supervised by a parent/ guardian.

  4. The ride guide or Likie Bikie Ltd will not be responsible for the actions of a child, or consequences of such actions. The parent/guardian will be fully responsible for any actions of the child.

  5. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure that directions and safety instructions of the guide are fully understood by the child, and adhered to.

 

Use of Image

Likie Bikie Ltd may take photographs or video of the ride, which may be used for marketing purposes, and may include your image. If you would not like your image, or the image of a person to whom you are a parent/guardian, to be used, you will notify Likie Bikie Ltd no later than at the completion of your activity. 

 

Insurance

Likie Bikie Ltd maintains a public liability insurance for their activities. This insurance does not cover the clients or participants for their actions.


Whilst Likie Bikie Ltd will make every effort to ensure the safety of all individuals, cycling is a potentially hazardous pursuit. By accepting these terms and conditions, you acknowledge the risks involved and agree it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure your own safety, behaving responsibly and within your own capabilities.

 

Participants agree to indemnify Likie Bikie Ltd, its employees, agents, Mayfield Farm, and any person connected with this business from any liability whatsoever resulting in personal injury (whether fatal or otherwise), loss, damage and expense caused.

 
While Likie Bikie Ltd endeavours to minimise risk by pro-actively assessing and managing it in all its activities, clients must accept that injuries and accidents can happen. We strongly recommend that you have insurance in place adequate medical, personal accident, loss of belongings & cancellation cover  Likie Bikie Ltd, its employees, agents, Mayfield Farm, and any person connected with this business cannot be held responsible for your own illness, injury or loss/damage of your belongings ( including parked cars) while participating in an activity when using our equipment.

Alcohol

Consuming excessive alcohol while on the activity is forbidden and any riders found to breach this condition will be asked to stop riding and forfeit any rights to a refund. At the end of the ride, the ride leader will be happy to recommend some local pubs and restaurants.

 

Loss

Likie Bikie Ltd, its employees, agents, Mayfield Farm, and any person connected with this business can not be held responsible for any loss suffered by the client or the participants. 

Helmets

Likie Bikie Ltd will provide cycle helmets for all riders. Riders may bring their own helmet. Helmets must be worn on all rides.

Happiness

Likie Bikie Ltd will endeavour to make the activity a memorable and enjoyable event, but it, or its agents, cannot be responsible for circumstances beyond their control, and for any deficiency in the activity..

 

Special Offers

Special offers are not valid in conjunction with any other offer, and are not redeemable for cash. 

 

Privacy Policy

We understand the importance of looking after the Personal Information that you provide and this notice (“Privacy Notice”) sets out what Personal Information we collect, why we need to collect it, how we will use it and how long we will store it for.

 

How we will use your personal information

Likie Bikie Ltd will process your Personal Information when you book an activity. Likie Bikie Ltd email account holds this personal information insofar as it is necessary to process your enquiries, arrange and amend bookings – chiefly your name, email address and any personal information like your home address, mobile telephone number, names, ages, gender and height of the members in your group.

 

By consenting to this privacy notice you are agreeing to allow us to use your Personal Data for the purposes described above and to hold it securely to allow Likie Bikie Ltd to send you details of new products and services. However, if you advise us that you want your personal details to be removed from our system, we will be happy to do this free of charge.

 

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. Similarly, photos taken on rides are only used on Likie Bikie Ltd websites or promotional materials with your express consent.

 

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
